Garlic Cheddar Biscuit

2 1/2 cups self rising flour

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (medium or sharp)

1/4 cup cold butter

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

In a bowl add flour, and cut in the cold butter with a knife. Mix together.  Should look like peas, the butter should be all through out the flour.  Add garlic powder and butter milk.  Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.  Mix well.

In a Cast Iron Skillet brush butter all over the skillet.  Roll dough into balls and put them in skillet touching each other.  Makes 10-12 biscuits. Bake for 10-12 minutes.  As soon as they come out of the oven brush them with Garlic Butter.

Garlic Butter:

1/4 cup butter, melted

1/4 tsp garlic powder or minced garlic

1/2 tsp parsley
