Rolo Pretzel Turtle BItes

On a baking sheet place the pretzels.  Put a Rolo on each pretzel.  Bake in a 350 degree oven for 3 minutes.  Immediately put a pecan on  top of each slightly melted Rolo. Cool and Serve.

M&M Pretzel Cookies

 1/2 cup butter, cubed.

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

2 Tbsp baking cocoa

1 cup creamy peanut butter

2 tsp vanilla

3 cups quick -cooking oats

1 cup coarsely crushed pretzels

1 cup milk chocolate M&M's


1.  In a large saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, milk nnd cocoa.  Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.  Cook and stir 1 minute.

2.  Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and vanilla until blended.  Stir in oats; let stand 5 minutes to cool.  Fold in pretzels and M&M's.  Drop mixture by Tablespoons onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets Refrigerate until set.

Homemade Soft Pretzels

 Prep Time:  30 minutes    Cook Time:  6 minutes    Total Time:  36 minutes

Serves 12

 

Pretzels:

1 1/4 cups water, lukewarm

1 Tbsp yeast

1/4 cup brown sugar

3 to 3 1/2 cups flour

 

Dipping Solution:

1/4 cup baking soda

1 1/2 cups hot water

 

Toppings:

melted butter and coarse salt

cinnamon and sugar

shredded cheddar cheese

 

1.  Dissolve the yeast and sugar into the warm water.

2.  Add in the flour and mix until combined.  No need to knead.  Let the dough rise in a warm place until almost doubled which should only take about 20 minutes.

3.  Preheat oven to 500 degrees.  Divide the dough into golf ball sized lumps.  ROll each ball into a snake or rope.  Twist them into pretzel shapes (or whatever shape you'd like)

4.  In a small bowl or a liquid measuring cup, dissolve the baking soda in the hot water.  Dip the pretzels into the solution and place on a well-greased baking pan. 

5.  Bake for about 6 minutes at 500 degrees until they are golden brown.

6.  Remove from the oven and dip the face of the pretzel in melted butter.  Add your chosen toppings.

Raspberry Pretzel Salad

¾ cup butter
2 ½ cups thin pretzel sticks
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip
1 cup sugar
2 cups water
1 large package raspberry-flavored gelatin
2 (10 oz) packages frozen raspberries or strawberries, undrained and slightly thawed
1 (15 ¼ oz) can crushed pineapple, undrained

Melt butter and pour into a 9x13-inch pan. Break pretzels in half and pat evenly into the pan. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove from oven and cool.

In a large bowl combine cream cheese, Cool Whip, and sugar. Dab on top of pretzels and spread to edges of pan. Refrigerate for about 1 hour.

Bring water to a boil. Completely dissolve gelatin in boiling water and cool in refrigerator until syrupy. Add slightly thawed raspberries an crushed pineapple and stir. Pour carefully over top of cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate overnight or several hours until firm.

Makes 12 servings

Easy Spicy Ranch Pretzels


16 oz mini pretzels
2/3 cup extra light olive oil or canola oil
1 Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 oz package ranch dressing or dip mix

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Combine oil, red pepper flakes, and ranch mix in a small bowl. Whisk together.
  4. Place pretzels in a large bowl.
  5. Drizzle pretzels with ranch mixture and toss with tongs until evenly coated.
  6. Place coated pretzels on prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
